How much do you know about safety levels of fabric? Do you know about the differences among safety level A, B and C of fabric?
Fabric of Level A
Fabric of level A has the highest safety level. It is suitable for baby and infant products, such as nappies, diapers, underwear, bibs, pajamas, bedding and so on. For the highest safety level, the formaldehyde content should be lower than 20mg/kg. And it must contain no carcinogenic aromatic amine dyes. The pH value should be close to neutral. It has the less irritation to skin. The color fastness is high. And it is free of harmful substances such as heavy metals, etc.
Fabric of Level B
Fabric of level B is suitable for making adult’s daily clothes, which can be directly contact with skin, such as shirt, T-shirt, dress and trousers, etc. The safety level is moderate. And the formaldehyde content is lower than 75mg/kg. It contains no known carcinogens. pH value is slightly off neutral. Color fastness is good. The content of hazardous substances meets the general safety standard.
Fabric of Level C
Fabric of level C cannot directly contact with skin, such as coats and curtains, etc. The safety factor is lower. The content of formaldehyde meets basic standard. And it may contain small amounts of chemicals, but it does not exceed the safety limit. PH value may deviate from neutral. But it will not cause significant damage to the skin. The color fastness is not very good. There may be a little fading.
