Advantages of Cotton

Its heat resistance and light resistance are good. Also cotton has stable dyeing performance and bright color shade. It is alkali resistant but not acid resistant. It can be mercerized.
Disadvantages of Cotton
Pure cotton is poor in anti-wrinkling property. It is easy to crease and the creases are not easy to recover. The color fastness is poor. The dimensional stability is bad. After long time washing and exposure, there will cause fading and strength decreasing. Also cotton fabric is easy to get mildew. Therefore, to blend cotton with other synthetic fibers is to adapt to market requirements.
