1.Stiffness
When you touch the fabric, it is stiff hand feeling, such as the handle of high-density fabric made of elastic fiber and yarns. To impart fabric stiffness, we can choose coarse fiber to increase fiber modulus and improve yarn tightness and weaving density.
2.Softness
It is the soft, light, fluffy and smooth handle with weaker stiffness, flatness and dryness. To impart fabric softness, we can improve the bulkiness of yarns and choose finer yarns. Also the weaving density should not be too high.
3.Plumpness
Fabric with good fluffiness will have a loose and plump hand feeling and good compression resilience, which makes us feel warm and thick.
4.Flexibility
Fabric is flexible, which can deform along with waving of body.
5.Smoothness
It is to describe the handle of fabric surface.
6.Flatness
It has no relation with elasticity. To choose more rigid fiber and yarns can improve the weaving density, so as to impart fabric flatness.
7.Drapability
It refers to the ability of fabric to sag naturally under its own gravity.
