Scuba diving cloth is a kind of synthetic rubber foam. It has exquisite and soft hand feeling and high resilience. It has the characteristics of shock proof, heat preservation, elasticity, water impermeability and air impermeability, etc., which is widely applied in making scuba diving fabric. It is also called neoprene.
Characteristics:
It has good weather resistance, resistance to ozone aging and good oil resistivity, which is second to Buna-N rubber only. It has good tensile strength, elongation and elasticity. But it has poor electrical insulating property and storage stability. Its using temperature is -35~130℃.
1.It can be used to protect products for avoiding abrasion.
2.It is light and comfortable, which can be carried alone.
3.It can be used for long time without deformation.
4.It is water-proof and not air permeable. It can be washed repeatedly.
The most common diving suit fabrics are nylon fabric and Lycra fabric. The center lining of them are both polymer rubber. Therefore, as long as the thickness is same, the wetsuits made of the two fabrics have the same warmth.
1.The difference of the two fabrics is the surface fabric: one is nylon cloth and the other is Lycra cloth. There are more lines in the unit area of Lycra and its knitting is denser. So Lycra is more wear resistant. In addition, Lycra cloth has better elasticity. So the diving suit made of Lycra is not easy to deform.
2.The life of two fabrics: Lycra diving suit has longer life time than nylon diving suit.
3.The price of two fabrics: Nylon is cheaper than Lycra.
4.For there are more colors of Lycra fabric available on the market, if you want your wetsuit to shine in the water, Lycra fabric will be a better choice.
Scuba diving fabric can not only keep heat, but also can protect you from being scratched or stabbed by coral reef.
