Coolcore fabric is a kind of new-type textile fabric that can dissipate heat rapidly, accelerate wicking and decrease temperature. There are some processing methods for coolcore fabric.
1.Physical blending method
Generally it is to mix the polymer masterbatch and the mineral powder with good thermal conductivity evenly, and then get the cool mineral fiber by conventional spinning process. The common coolcore mineral fibers include mica fiber, jade powder fiber and pearl powder fiber, etc. Among, mica fiber is more common, for it has stable chemical property and good thermal conductivity, moisture absorption and insulativity.
2.Add xylitol
It is to add food-grade xylitol into the fiber spinning solution. After spun, the xylitol can be evenly distributed on the fibers. The fibers added xylitol can absorb heat more quickly.
3.Profiled fiber
It is to change the design of the cross section of fiber to obtain profiled fiber by melt spinning, such as Y-shaped and cross-shaped fibers. This kind of groove structure helps to improve the wicking performance. And by such design of the cross section of fiber, the fiber can have capillary effect. Thus, the heat dissipation rate of fiber is strengthened.
4.Coolcore finishing agent
The coolcore finished textiles are to attach the coolcore finishing agent on the ordinary textile fabrics by dipping, padding or coating process so as to impart fabrics instant coolcore function.
5.Polyester and nylon
Coolcore fabrics also include polyester coolcore fabric and nylon coolcore fabric. These fabrics can adjust temperature by absorbing heat, which have cool and comfortable hand feeling.
